Jolanda Giardiello was born in Switzerland, but has southern Italian roots.

Growing up in a bilingual environment and in two different cultures, put her in the longlife quest of searching her identity and her sense of a belonging. Art soon became a way to find her place.

After studying at the Liceo Artistico in Zurich, she made a Master of Arts in Musicology, Ethnomusicology, Portuguese Linguistics and Literature at the University of Zurich.

She is also a multi-instrumentalist, writes compositions and arrangements in different styles (music website).

Jolanda discovered photography only recently as a new way of expressing herself. It gives her the chance to work on her quests in an introspective and somehow poetic way. Actually she exhibits her works principally in Switzerland and France.

She speaks fluently Italian, German, Swiss German, English, French, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and a little bit of Russian.
